Excited!

Ok!  Here we go sister!  First post....where do we start?
This morning I went to the Farmer's Market downtown St. Paul.  I love it there!  The bundles of flowers are beautiful.  The smells of fall were in the air.  This is a great place to find "unique" pumpkins.  The ones you see by front doors and wonder...where did they find those?  They are so cool!  White ones, unique dark orange ones and green funny shaped ones.

The vegetable's and fruits are in abundance! But the best part of the trip was finding fresh edamame! Ever since I had them as an appetizer at a Japanese restaurant I craved them! They are little bites of heaven.  They are edible soybeans that are a quick healthy, packed with protein snack. It has this wonderful nutty flavor that will keep you grabbing until they are gone! The best way to make them is to steam them for 10 minutes.  Rinse with cold water and salt.  You do not eat the outer "pod", rather you put them in your mouth and squeeze out the beans.  Yum!

I encourage you to go to the farmers market this time of year.  You won't be disappointed! That's all for now, Krista
