krista's chili


Krista's Chili

2 lbs. ground beef
1 large yellow onion
olive oil
2 15 oz. cans light red kidney beans
3 15 oz. cans dark red kidney beans
2 28 oz. cans crushed tomatoes
1 10 oz. can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies
1 12 oz. can tomato paste
1 15 oz. chili beans with chili sauce
2 T. apple cider vinegar
2 T. dijon mustard
1 T. sugar
2 oz. chili powder
1 T. garlic powder
1 t. crushed red pepper flakes
salt
pepper

Add chopped onion to olive oil in pan until soft. Add ground beef until browned and drained, and transfer to a large stock pot on low heat. Add all remaining ingredients. Simmer for 30 mins. Top with shredded cheese and sour cream. This chili is a medium spiced chili, add more pepper flakes or chili powder for more heat. For an extra kick, add your favorite dark beer.

Thank you turkey sandwich at Wich Wich is the best! Turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce on wheat! It is like thanksgiving wrapped up in a bun!! yum!

This is my early Christmas project I am getting ready to do right after Thanksgiving!  Apothecary Jar & Bottle Brush Tree centerpieces. I have jars and bottles I can fill with lights, fake snow and ornaments and trees. I know you can find the trees at a hobby store, so simple, but so pretty!

name your favorite "fast food" sandwich Sistah!

....mine is Cosi's turkey and brie, warmed and toasty on multi grain flatbread.  I could eat this every single day.  I LOVE THEM!  xo, H
