Well, it sounds like you definitely need a new year, Sissy!  You got it!

2014 was a pretty good year for me.  Peter graduating from high school and heading off to his life at Purdue was a very good thing.  Having both Emma and Peter home for the summer was a very good thing.  Being together, as a family, when we had a few months of saying goodbye to George was a very good thing.  My job is a very good thing.

Last but not least is the empty nest.  Very good thing?  Yes, in most ways it is...it means the birds are using their wings!  We miss them daily, but as Emma reminds us, we see them fairly often so there's not a lot of boo hoo time.  We have a lot of fun heading to Emma's meets and exploring the great state of Indiana.  It's fun to cheer on Butler basketball (going to another game on Saturday at the famed Hinkle Fieldhouse) and Purdue football was better than expected!  It's really great that E and P are only an hour away from eachother.

I made some "resolutions" in September.

1. Regular exercise - I've been walking a lot this fall.  Lost 8 lbs!  Unfortunately, I believe I found most of them over the past two weeks of fun and food!  No matter.  I will be back in my routine of yoga and walking next week and bringing soup for lunch on my days in the office.

2. Thinking about/pondering going back to school sometime.  Not sure for what, but probably my masters in Poli Sci or History.

3.  Housework - going to clean out this house of old crap and get down to having only items we love or love to save...the rest is going to go!  I can't stand clutter and chock full cupboards and closets.  It's heavy and not needed.

4.  Travel/explore more.  Any opportunity to see something new is on my agenda!

5.  See you more often (thank you for that!) is a great idea!  Seeing you all in the airport for those 20 minutes was awesome!  The kids have such a bond.  Peter and I may come up over spring break!

6.  Blog, read and write more too!

Ok, bring on 2015!!!!  Can't wait to see what is in store!  All is well and all shall be well and all in the world shall be well (can't remember where I read that quote!).
xoxo, H
