I think the word absolutely is fine, if used sincerely. But, I know what you are talking about. Any word can be overused. Such as besides, really and no way!
Do you know of anyone who seems to be in la la land. People will say, nothing ever seems to bother her, she never gets stressed out. How about she seems like she is on drugs! It drives me crazy! These same people get away with being late for everything, getting lost, and forgetting how to carry on a conversation. I find it to be annoying.
I am going to go see the movie! It looks really, absolutely fabulous! Ha!
